Seriously though, I think that some of us have too grandiose ideas of ourselves and I detect some narcissism in the question. If you turn the question to "Am I helping others with my work?", then most of us can ( I hope ) answer in the affirmative. Physicians and other health care workers also face this. Many start off idealistic, but the grind of long ours and sometimes the stress related to their profession causes many to wonder if they are really "making a difference" or " making a living"GBnoreply@blogger.com
