I just think the next 6-9 monhts will be the best time to buy. A lot of money could be made by buying houses at today's prices with a 30-year fixed interest rate, as inflation pushes up the prices. But during the recession, higher interest rates will keep prices down to keep monthly payments affordable.<BR/><BR/>Therefore, an investor would have to be willing to hold the property until after the recession is over and interest rates come back down. This is a great strategy, but the key is to buy houses at the bottom - which it hard to determine and maybe years away.
