For myself, making just above poverty level, would be willing to at least give Obama a shot here. Given past history, we all know that both candidates will talk a good line, however most of the time they do not produce. I think government needs to play an active role to get us out the current mess and then scale back when things get better. Easier said than done, but I do believe that the governement does not want to be in the business of running our capital markets for the long term. <BR/><BR/>Davea - I agree, the next president should do what is best for the country and not his own party and backers. I have noticed the same all year with the primaries and the general election. Therefore, I don't trust a word of it. <BR/><BR/>If he wins, I doubt we will see any of his tax cuts and instead will have a major increase in taxes on everyone to pay for the many programs that he is planning. <BR/><BR/>His radical ideas are fundamentally socialistic in nature, which would drive the economy deep into a depression. <BR/><BR/>We need a much smaller government and a miricle to avoid a depression at this point.Curthttp://www.pennyjobs.comnoreply@blogger.com
