When Will $300 FPUC Extra Unemployment Start Being Paid in My State? News and Updates on Payment for PUA and PEUC Claims

This article was last updated on January 17

The new $900 billion COVID-19 Relief stimulus package has now been passed by Congress and signed into law by the President. It includes extensions to pandemic unemployment programs (PUA and PEUC) and an extra $300 FPUC supplementary UI payment. The supplementary payment will cover 11 weeks starting from December 27th, 2020 to March 14th, 2021. The actual payment date for these 11 weeks may begin a few weeks after the actual program start date due to state UI agencies updating their systems and eligible payments will be made retroactively.

Starting with week ending January 2, 2021 the FPUC payment can be made above and beyond any regular unemployment and require eligible claimants to certify regularly according to their state UI agency guidelines. Claimants will need to be eligible for at least $1 of an underlying unemployment benefit to receive the $300 supplemental payment under the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) program. You do not need to take any additional action to receive this supplemental payment. States are slowly rolling out these changes for different groups of claimants – those getting regular UI and state extended benefits, those with active benefits/weeks after Dec 27th, PUA and PEUC recipients who exhausted benefits before December 27th and those who need to file a new claim after December 27th. So you need to be aware that payment and certification dates will vary by which group of claimants you fall into.

I will update dates in the table below as states implement these guidelines and start making making actual payments. Please leave a comment if you find updated or incorrect information reflected in the table and I will review/update accordingly. Details on why this payment could be delayed due to PEUC or PUA roll-outs are discussed in this video.

$300 FPUC Weekly Unemployment Stimulus Payment Status

Table Notes: $300 FPUC Weekly Unemployment Stimulus Payment Status by State Tracker. A Maximum of 11 weeks (Dec 27th, 2020 to March 14th, 2021) can be paid under this program and you must be getting $1 from existing program during coverage period. State labor and unemployment departments are slowly rolling out extended UI changes in batches by claimant groups. One of the last groups are those who have exhausted their benefits before Dec 27th and will need to wait till PUA and PEUC changes are implemented before getting the $300 FPUC (see why in this article). Where available I have broken up payment start dates by group. If you cannot see the table clearly, click here and scroll down

State unemployment departments and agencies will be responsible for disbursing these benefit payments, similar to the $300 LWA and earlier $600 FPUC supplementary unemployment programs. Given the many challenges and various payment issues across states with earlier supplementary UI benefit programs, I expect this to take some time to be rolled out and require retroactive payments to get claimants caught up. So stay tuned and subscribe to get the latest updates. You can also see this $300 FPUC video for more details on this program.

Lost Wages Assistance (LWA) program – Now Expired

The temporary $300 unemployment benefit under the Lost Wages Assistance (LWA) program funding has now been paid in all states who participated in the program. The program expiry date was December 27th, 2020 and this means that any new or retroactive payments under this program will NO longer be paid out going forward. This has been replaced by the new $300 FPUC payment discussed above.

This supplementary payment was a temporary, but much needed benefit for unemployed or underemployed workers who lost the supplementary $600 FPUC weekly payment at the end of July. There was a lot of confusion on when the $300 would actually be paid by state UI agencies which led to the creation of the LWA state tracker table below, which shows the payment status and actual or estimated future date claimants can expect their first weekly unemployment payment, if eligible. You can also see the 1000+ comments from readers that share their experiences around the LWA payment, including some very useful tips if you are facing issues getting your $300 LWA payment.

All states that applied and were approved by FEMA were only initially awarded three weeks of funding – covering the weeks of August 1st, 8th and August 15th.  After that, states and territories will need to submit a Lost Wages Additional Week Request one week at a time for funding to pay claims for subsequent weeks. However any additional funding is subject to the $44 billion budget that is available for this program and it is almost certain that funding will run out before the December 27th expiry of this program, unless Congress approves additional funding via a formal UI benefits extension.

In fact, at this stage approved states will only get a maximum of 6 weeks of funding (weeks covering August 1st to September 5th) for the LWA program per recent FEMA guidance to state labor and unemployment agencies that have already made several weeks of payments. Several states which started making the $300 payments earlier than other states have already been notified that their LWA funding allotment has run out and no additional funding beyond will be approved. Note however that some states like Florida will only be applying for and paying 4 weeks of LWA benefits, since they didn’t meet some of the LWA program qualification rules (details here).

Payment Start date is when the state actually started processing LWA payments OR is the estimated date of the first payment processing based on available information. Note: Due to bank processing delays, it can take 2 to 4 days after the noted dates for benefits to hit your bank account or debit card. Please see links to more information in the table or your state UI website for specific payment status. If you find any mistakes or have updates, please leave a comment below and I will update table to help others.

What if my state has started making payments, but I don’t see my $300?

Claimants in most states do not need to take any action to receive the new benefits available in this program. The additional benefits will be added automatically for all claimants who are eligible and have certified for the relevant week. Their self-certification will ask them to confirm they were unemployed or partially unemployed due to COVID-19. See more FAQs on this here.

However if your state has started making payments and you haven’t received payments you need to first confirm you are eligible. This means you must be receiving at least $100 in weekly unemployment benefit payments (pre tax and before any other deductions). This includes claimants receiving any type of regular unemployment insurance benefits as well as those receiving PUA and PEUC benefits.

If you are eligible and you have not received a payment in several weeks then you will need to contact your state UI agency to ensure the claim has been processed and is not being held up due to fraud, missing/incorrect payment details or due to a weekly or bi-weekly certification issue.

See more in this article on Why Your $300 Unemployment Has Not Been Paid or Delayed.

My state has been approved and the LWA tracker says payments are being made, but when will I get my payment?

The tracker provides an actual or estimated date for the when the LWA payments start being processed by the state. If a start date has been officially published by the state, you will see the status updated to “paying now.” Otherwise it is estimate based on FEMA guidelines or if confirmed by several sources online. However this date (week start date in many cases) may not be the same as the date the actual UI payment will hit your back account or debit card. The actual date you may see the money could be several days after the official state processing start date and tied to your normal UI payment cycle. You will need to confirm via your UI online portal or state agency for the exact payment date.

Also note the payment date is generally the date when payment starts. In many states, due to volume of people being paid, claims are paid out over several days (in batches, based on SSN or First/Last Name). And given processing by banks to disburse these payments via direct deposit or debit cards can take 1 to 2 days, it may take several days after the first payment date for you to receive your payment.

I got my $900 back payment but no payments after that. Why?

The first state LWA grant approved by FEMA was only for three weeks. Hence the $900 payment (3 x $300) is what most people are seeing first, less any taxes or withholding. Subsequent $300 payments are approved and paid on a week by week basis. This includes retroactive payments which will also be staggered. Rest assured if you are eligible for past weeks you will get your payment.

Also the maximum number of weeks that can be paid under the LWA program is 6, which means the maximum payment in most states is $1800 (or $2400 if the state was paying $400 p/week). After the payment of 6 weeks, you will revert to what you were getting under existing unemployment programs.

I am got my first week of payments but not subsequent weeks.

Kristin asked, “My son just got his first payment for the weeks of 08/23 thru 08/29 and 08/30 thru 09/05. He got the extra $300 for the week of 08/23 – 08/29, but did not get the extra $300 for the week of 08/30 thru 09/05. We are in Texas. Do you know why he got it the first week, but not the second week?

Every week is processed separately by the state UI agency subject to FEMA funding. So you may be seeing some variability due to delays in approval, claim processing and eventual bank/debit card payment.

  1. Why does this table estimate SC for 9/20 when the official lwa tracker is still unknown? Where can I get the skew info that the columnist is getting?

  2. Hi im in NYC and havent recieved a payment but it says payment release date 9/17/20 whats going on?

    1. NY DOL confirmed they have released ~$1.9 billion in LWA funds to 2.26 million NYers. But looks like an issue with their processor – KeyBank. Despite assurances their system could handle the load, KeyBank was unable to process payments overnight on 9/15. KeyBank now says payments have been processed & will reach bank accounts by 4:30PM on Sep 18th at the latest

    2. Hi! I am in Rochester, NY. When I checked my Citizen Bank account this morning nothing was deposited. When I checked again this afternoon, the 3 deposits were there. So, thankfully it finally came. Keep checking.

  3. Good morning everyone,
    Paris from California here AGAIN!!
Am I the only one that have not received their LWA funds? EDD has confirmed that they received my self certification form. This morning I received and email from them stating that I am potentially eligible to receive the LWA funds and to learn about eligibility visit the LWA site. I have done everything that I was supposed to do. Now I am so confused as to what’s going on right now.
    Stressing out in California.
    Everyone stay safe!!!!

  4. This is from Illinois. Received $765 one lump sum payment. Curious to know if this is after taxes for the $900 bonus that was expected.

  5. Does anybody have an update for KY? I have recently gone to every two weeks from every week. I received 2 weeks of regular unemployment this week but nothing extra.

    1. Hi Tracey. I’ve read a couple of conflicting dates; including this site which is posted to have started processing on the 15th. But I read an article by a local news source saying that the first week was sent out on the 11th. The second week would be processed on the 17th and the third week processed on the 18th. This is extremely confusing. Not sure if these dates are only processing dates or if some have actually been paid out already. Can’t seem to get a straight answer from anyone. I receive regular UI benefits and have read that those receiving PUA are receiving theirs first. There’s bound to be someone with a straight answer???

      1. I know! I can’t find a definitive or reliable answer anywhere. I don’t do my claim until next week. I have tried the online chat, calling and e-mailing with no response. I know they are overwhelmed, but you would think one could get an answer.

  6. Andy,
I’m curious of where you got that NJ estimated date is Sept 20th? State DOL just said that expect to have program NEXT MONTH and will contact people on how to claim LWA. Considering NJ has just left people to starve and hardly anyone at unemployment even answers phones..not sure how they plan on contacting ANYONE that collects UI. So just wondering where u got the estimated date?

    1. It was based on their approval date by FEMA + 4 weeks to get this in place (which is far more than most states). But looks like they are going to be delayed further based on what I am hearing and per a recent tweet, “NJDOL expects to have programming in place next month to distribute $300/wk from the FEMA LWA program. New Jersey has been approved for 5 weeks of benefits. Eligible claimants unemployed due to Covid-19 will be contacted once a process is in place on how to claim the funds.”

Thanks for letting me know and I have updated table. This is frustration for NJ residents given most other states have already started paying.

      1. I just want to state that NJ is the WORST. I see people commenting on “ONLY” receiving 300 or 900 of the LWA. And NJ isnt even set up yet to make ANY payment. Murphy has really let us all down. I was wondering how he sleeps at night..then it hit me. He doesnt worry about not having food or being evicted..he doesnt worry about not having a job to return to. Hes set. So of course he sleeps soundly!

      2. I see u put early october for NJ. So it that just a guess? Since NJ says October, they could mean Oct 30th right? Frustrating isnt even the right word to describe NJ. Jobs are gone.. No longer exist. And the meager 300 that every state seems to get 6 full weeks..we only get 5? How is that even possible when FEMA said 6 weeks? NJ is worst place to live. for some reason they couldnt afford to update the unemployment system AT ALL IN THE PAST 15 YEARS????

        1. Thats the update from the NJ DOL official twitter feed…early October. But could be anytime in October, but I would be shocked if they take till Oct 30th since most they were able to get the $600 FPUC out faster.

      3. I got the 900.00 on September 15th. BUT I DIDN’T GET MY REGULAR 264.00 WEEKLY BENEFIT. IS IT TRUE THAT THERE IS ANOTHER ROUND OF 900.00 WHICH MAKES A TOTAL OF 18.00 .

        1. Yes. 6 weeks of total funding was approved in most states. So $900 more coming but may take some time to process as that was approved (by FEMA) subsequent to the first batch

  7. I am about to get my last regular UI payment and have never received a thing from ODJFS about PEUC!! Idk how any of this is supposed to work but I have read that they are supposed to send info about how to apply. I find that a little funny because they can’t even keep up with claims in general. So now I guess I am without any more payments at least in the near future because I’ll have to sit on hold when I call for idk how many hours. Oh joy. If anyone knows or has any info, it would be much appreciated. Thank you

    1. DB ..I was down to my regular running out..they sent me my regular check for one week and the next week one for the remaining $43 woulda been easier to tack that onto one check instead of leaving my to survive on $43 for a week. Once they send your last payment they send you an email to sign up for PEUC..mine went right through without a problem

      1. Hello stacey. Did me the same butt has now bin 3 weeks since ive received last payment 115$ and that exhausted benefits. Got letter reapplied , says they added more benefits from puec system and i now have an available balance of 2500. But still havent gotten next 2 weeks payments ,,, just wondering how long after till other extra benefits kick in, worried here. And no answers to unemployment offices really frustrating. Plss help????

  8. Anyone from New York receive their LWA ($300/week) payments yet? Says it was supposed to be paid out on the 14th, but haven’t gotten anything yet and I know I’m eligible because of what I get in unemployment and I received a text message and email saying that I was PRE-QUALIFIED. Any feedback would be great!

  9. I think it’s all bullshit how is it that each state has enough to pay exactly however many people are unemployed when that number varies state to state and as soon as 6 payments are made the funds are depleted In every state does this mean certain states were granted a lot more money depending upon the population of each state because I doubt it so for me this all sounds like a bunch of smoke being blown up our ass they aren’t out of funds it’s just all they are willing to pay

  10. I live in starkey florida and currently receive PEUC benefits at 275.00 a week which I received my PEUC payment on Sept 14th but I have not received the LWA 300.00 weekly payments as of today and Florida started paying out on September 8th. I have called the unemployment numbers 833-352-7759 , 800-297-0586, 800-204-2418 but no luck reaching a customer service person, only left on hold for an hour each call which doesn’t answer my question.. others in my state have already received LWA payments. I am at my breaking point.. can anyone give me any real information in regards to why I haven’t received my LWA 300 .00 weekly payments in florida..

  11. I am from Chicago. Receiving $198 PUA weekly. No dependents. Haven’t received the $300 bonus yet. Any idea if n when I may receive this extra help.

    1. Illinois is running a week behind. My wife got hers a week after her regular, and even then it was only for the first 3 weeks. Not sure when the rest will be sent out.

    2. On Thursday, 17 September 2020, I received notification that a payment of $1,800 is scheduled to be paid on Friday, 18 September 2020…..

  12. Good morning everyone,
I live in Southern California and my question is can someone/anyone tell me how long does it take after you update you self certification form to receive your first $300? I understand that fact that every state is different but I was hoping that may be someone from hear could shade a little light on my situation.
Everyone stay bless, keep your head up and this too shall pass.
    Feeling stress out!!!!!

    1. I would like to knw the same thing. My husband did the Self Certification Form on 9/16 and just wondering how long it takes for EDD to release funds to the debit card.

      1. Suszie all I can tell you is the information that I have, which is the EDD sent me a conformation to my inbox informing me that they did receive my self certification form. I filled it out on the 15th and through my account and they sent me a conformation stating that they received it the same day. This morning the 17th I checked my personal email and I had an email from EDD stating that they received my self certification form. Now I’m really confused.
        I wish you the best.

    1. Following. We’ve literally had 0 updates on a date we could expect to see our extra $300 payment

    2. I called SC yesterday they told me it would be posted on the website and I check it about 10 times a day. It is ridiculous. She also said not to believe what is said on line as I told her it showed pending and pay date was Sept 20 she would not confirm

      1. The money is issued on my homepage in my portal, but no money in my account.I called a Dew representative and was told it’s being mailed.

  13. I’m from NJ and I see it says Sept 20th as estimated payment start date. How did you come by that date? I can’t find anything on my unemployment page saying anything other than NJ was approved for LWA.

  14. I live in Kentucky. When I first checked this page; Kentucky’s payment schedule showed the 13th of September and wasn’t paying out at that time. Now the official scheduled pay out date is: September 15th and the notation says: paying now. I’ve read that some in Kentucky have already received part of their payments starting on Monday September 14th. And from what I’m gathering; the ones who are receiving PUA unemployment are receiving their payments first and are also able to check their payment status to see the exact date that payments are going to hit their accounts. Seems that if you’re on regular unemployment the feature to see exact amount and deposit date is not available. I’m on regular unemployment benefits, due to covid. Every two weeks when I log on to claim my unemployment benefits; I answer a series of questions to determine my continued eligibility for unemployment. It is now Thursday September 17th and I haven’t received the first dollar of the extra $400 and I get direct deposit. So I can only speculate that I may receive some of it within the next few days or along with my benefit claim this Sunday September 20th. As for how Kentucky is going to pay out the retroactive benefit amount; they are paying it on a weekly basis and Not one lump sum like many other states. This website is not very informative when it comes to actually telling people how to self certify and when eligible people will receive their extra $400 unemployment benefits. I’ve read several comments concerning the self certification. Lots of people do not know what this means. I can only speculate that to self certify is the series of questions that you must answer every two weeks(for continued eligibility)when claiming your unemployment benefits. But there still remains the problem of an out dated website that should have been updated a long time ago so that claiming benefits, filing a claim or even getting on the website would not be a nervous breakdown experience as it is now. The phone system is just as bad since there is never anyone available to answer questions or give help where as the website does not. And most of this frustration could have been avoided had these state government website’s and phone system’s been kept up to date. So along with millions of others trying to harness their frustrations; I’ll continue to wait and pray that this money comes soon as we are facing extreme poverty.

  15. I just read on ohio’s jfs cite that there still working on regular unemployment s system to distribute the 300$ payments. Along with saying they will post instructions for claimants when that’s done and that we will get one deposit for all weeks qualified for, unlike the distribution pua claimants have begun to receive.

    1. Where can I find this information, I looked on the Ohio UI website and I didn’t see that info on there site. I also talked to an Ohio UI agent after being on hold for 1-1/2 hours. The gentleman i talked to said would receive the first payment within 1 to. 2 days, he even checked with his team leader to verify that info. I’m on regular unemployment and certify on Sundays and I have not received any info from the Ohio UI. Anyway that’s what I was told yesterday whether or not it happens remains to be told. I will update if I receive any new info.

      1. I just spoke with them and they are sending out payments for people on the pandemic and are still working on the system for people on regular unemployment so it will be a while longer.

        1. Thank you Chris for the update, i guess we wait then. What does Define care his bills are paid and family fed. Bet he’s not eating peanut butter and jelly just to get by. Ohio is a sad state.

      2. I talked with them yesterday and she said she wasent sure when regular unemployment would get theres and now the tracker says the 28th I wish they wouldn’t let the employees tell people that it’s going to be a day or 2 when they dont know when it will be.

  16. John in Mississippi- just received the 6th LWA payment this week. Thank you MDES!

  17. I havent seen any comments or post about TN does anyone have any info for them. I just got re-qualified because mine exhausted August 1st. I kept certifying even tho it wasnt approved yet. Then got approval the email and mail I got started I was Approved from August 2nd thru money run out basically. But then when I went to certify after it was approved my dashboard only had wks Aug 29th and Sept 5th so I didn’t get unemployment back pay from Aug 2nd on which obviously I was expecting since I went almost a month with no payment. Since then I’ve been paid my normal 130 for the wks Aug 29th to today 16th but no LWA payments at all. My unemployment was filed back in March and was checked as being because of covid. But I wasnt sent and email or any kind of notice to check or somehow tell again it’s still because of same thing…Until tonight after searching all over trying to find something out I found a tucked away spot where i could verify again bc of covid. But I thought I didn’t have to do this if I was recieving regular UI because of covid back to March. The tracker you have has payments in Tennessee being made as of Aug 30th. But of course can’t get ahold of anyone and on the other almost afraid to just to postpone for me calling or something. Main question I suppose is has anyone else in Tennessee received money if so how much or just any related TN problems. Thanks

    1. Likely to happen towards the end of the month or early October. Per the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (SCDEW) is working on implementing the Lost Wages Assistance program. It will take a few weeks to implement this new federal program in our system. As with all the federal programs they’ve implemented under the CARES Act, it takes time to configure and test the system to ensure accuracy and compliance with both FEMA and DOL standards.”

The department said they are continuing to provide updates about the LWA assistance through the MyBenefits portal, texts, emails, social media and their website.

      1. From Connecticut here. I just received my payment of $300 at 1:09 am Thursday September 17th. It was just one payment. Any idea on why they are holding the other payments?

      2. They do not have an actual approximate date as to when South Carolina people can expect to get their extra $300 unemployment benefit?

    2. They haven’t updated nothing since Sept 1st. When our state got approved and That’s crazy. Hopefully we (SC) get the full $1800. I’m praying and waiting too.

      1. Yes I hope it comes soon I only get 109$ a week and lost my health insurance when I lost my job and I’m Diabetic and had a Hearteart Attack 8-25-20 and medicine is so expensive and all my bills are past due it’s so stressful I’m praying for everyone to get their payments soon because I know how hard it is right now

        1. Omg sorry to her the.. I’m at $122 a week.. SC need to do something

        2. Omg sorry to her that
.. I’m at $122 a week.. SC need to do something

  18. Hi, I’m on oregon and we’ve had no word on a possible date, at least not that I’m aware of. Has anyone else heard anything I’m drowning over here lol

    1. The Oregon Employment Department has launched online self-certification for the Lost Wages Assistance (LWA) program and per their official website have said they will send LWA funds to qualified Oregonians by the end of September. The full link is in the table in the article in the Oregon entry.

  19. Nobody in pa under the PUA program received weekly Payments this week or lwa payment yet. Not one person I know. Regular ue has received their benefit payment and the lwa payments already but some reason pua people in PA hasn’t received anything weekly benefit always comes Wednesday and didn’t even come today. They put update online stating….
Sept. 16, 2020 -PUA Payment Delay Notice:
If you normally receive a PUA payment on Tuesday or Wednesday, please be advised that we are experiencing payment delays due to exceptionally high volumes. You should receive your PUA payments within the next 2 days.

High volumes, how bout that lol. They’ve had high volumes and any other week never had issue getting well payment by now we do. Really??. So I guess guys if your in PA just look out should receive something within 2 days. Anywhere from ow till Friday I guess they r saying but don’t tell whether it’s just weekly or lwa included so not sure exactly what’s gonna be paid out but something at least will. Hope this helps

  20. I’m in Nevada and I know we were the last to apply. Has anyone in nevada seen the 300.00 yet? I know this site gave a date of September 26..but I was hoping to get it sooner.
    Thank you

    1. No. I see September 27, which is a Sunday (certification day) meaning you won’t see it until Tuesday September 29 at the earliest.

    2. I just posted an update based on some new information. I had originally estimated the date based on FEMA guidelines. But DETR (Nevada state UI agency) estimates it will now take four to six weeks to complete system updates before the agency can begin issuing payments to eligible claimants. Given Sep 11 was the FEMA approval date, then assuming the mid-point of 5 weeks of approval I have revised estimated payment date to start after October 16th. Will continue to monitor and update if the date changes. It’s an estimate until official and people start seeing payments. Link to reference in table now. It is however very disappointing to see Nevada so far behind other states in making this payment.

  21. Hello, everything I’ve read for Ohio has only applied to payments sent to individuals on pua not regular unemployment? Does anyone know when we are getting our payments?

  22. People are suffering we as Americans deserve to know about our unemployment payments and when they are coming to feed our family I read a story about a family struggling while Congress took a break this is America ! We work pay our taxes and now we are begging our country for money’s for help ! They are the ones that covered up all this corona and we suffered losing our jobs family members to that. They in Congress are not hungry worried stressing they going home to a meal cozy bed and not worried about money to pay bills but they ignore the American people that got them their jobs I hope they see what this is doing to American people

    1. I guarantee before it’s over the congress Republicans whoever is in high chains will get audited for lining there pockets with stacks of millions while us poor sit here and watch them play cat and mouse while actually there just stallinthimgs to make sure there pockets are paddedd the it will all come out in the wash mark my words this one of the most common faulty things that happens during this season of who’s gana hold what.tiecin office istil haven’t got my first stylus check more do I count on a second one cause it ain’t coming justy luck though.id roll. Over dead in my bedidlf I seen anything or even a letter but the goveretviscon too of it if I owe them count on them taking there money who cares I’m homeless and starcving out here as long a sthey take care of themselves that’s all thatatter.s.someone got to pay for their rolls royce a.amd yahts why not thepoor

  23. Ohio pua recipient; 300 was deposited into my account today (16th), another 300 is scheduled to be deposited tomorrow (17th). As of now nothing is pending for Friday (18th) though I was told six separate deposits will take place over six consecutive days, maybe Friday’s deposit will post later today.

    1. Thanks for the update and confirmation. In line with the tracker. But I do know lots of people in OH are still waiting

      1. Hey Andy I’m from Ohio and draw regular weekly unemployment and I have not received or been notified of receiving any LWA. I called the UI office after being on hold for an hour and twenty minutes the agent said that it would be another 2-3 days before I would receive the first initial $300 payment for 8-1. Other than that they were not very helpful they couldn’t give me an actual date to receive my first LWA payment. I will update as soon as Im able to give more info. Thanks for all the help and info you have provided for all of us on your site because Ohio has been absolutely no help and releases no updates on to keep us up to date. I feel there dragging this out as long as possible so they can draw the interest off of our money. $717 billion probably draws pretty good intrest over a months period. There all thieves in my book.

        1. I spoke with Ohio unemployment just now and they told me that they are paying out the pua claims but the people on regular unemployment still dont have a date for payment. She said they have received no updates and doesnt know why people are saying otherwise. Its ridiculous that nobody has any actual information. Just speculation.

  24. Do you necessarily have to have dependents to receive the 300 extra in pua pa. ? Or is 100+ a week is fine?

  25. I am in pa and am on the pua and still have not received the extra 300 for the five weeks My friend who is on regular unemployment got it yesterday does anyone know why or when it will go on because i thought it was suppose to be today

    1. Sept. 16, 2020 -PUA Payment Delay Notice:
If you normally receive a PUA payment on Tuesday or Wednesday, please be advised that we are experiencing payment delays due to exceptionally high volumes. You should receive your PUA payments within the next 2 days.

I’m in PA as well and this was actually posted today on the ucpagov website nobody that’s on PUA received thier weekly pay or the lwa payment yet.
PA has not released any funds to any pia customers noticed on people on regular uc got thier payments along wit the lwa one

    1. No, I haven’t yet. I also, didn’t even receive my normal weekly payment today now either. ‍♀️

    2. I received 5 weeks today. Was processed Monday and received yesterday. I still haven’t received the 6th week but PA has always paid the Fed portion on a one week delay. Still doesn’t explain it but may be why I haven’t received the 6th week.

  26. I spoke with someone from ODJFS this morning! For anyone on regular unemployment – our payments are the way. She was very helpful and said that we should see payments by friday, or monday at the latest. Our claims page is set up differently the PUA and wont show the payment dates. Hope this helps!

    1. I also talked to unemployment, she said they have not received anything yet on when payments will go out.

      1. The lady I spoke with she she just had gotten a notice with the information shortly before I called!

        1. Yes I spoke to a couple of people first one said no date yet second one said maybe by Friday

      2. I spoke with someone from ODJFS as well and was informed that those getting regular unemployment not PUA should start getting payments early next week. The system is set of different for those getting regular unemployment! Hope this helps, just piggy backing from the first comment!

        1. Ohio PUA started today 9/16. I got my first $300 today. The next one is poised to deposit tomorrow. Good luck Ohioans!

  27. I live in pa and received $900.00 LWA I am fully unemployed
    Due to covid
Why did I only get 3 weeks and will I get the balance I presently
    Get regular UC
    Thank you for your time

    1. That’s the first part of the grant approved (3 weeks). The other 3 are coming and may each be paid seperately based on FEMA funding to PA.

  28. I live in Ohio. I received $300 this morning from PUA. My regular unemployment came through yesterday, so I was surprised by the additional deposit this morning. I did not receive the rest of the payments that I’m owed from August 1st to now. I’m not sure how ODJFS plans on distributing the remainder of the funds, but this is a start!

    1. I only got 300 to no other payment so we should be seeing some more money you would think I’m just glad. Not the only one I thought they messed my payment oit

  29. I’m from Ohio today I only received 300 on my card no 900 is anyone els in ohio having this problem

    1. Yes in Ohio the customer service representative said we would get $300 per day for 6 days. The weekend may stretch that out a bit. I’ve received $300 yesterday and today and see the $300 for tomorrow ready to deposit so anyone on PUA unemployment in Ohio should have started getting it. Regular unemployment in Ohio will a bit longer.

    1. A buddy of mine we both are on unemployment in delaware he got his first $300 today 9/18 but I still haven’t received any

  30. I’m from ohio and I just received my 1st $300 dollar payment loaded onto my card and I’ve had the update like everyone else stating that the payment would be loaded on 9/16 dated for 8/1 and I also have another payment of $300 dated for 9/17 on the next week on my payment history.

  31. I live in Jacksonville Florida and it says I’m eligible for unemployment and was verified last week. Was wandering if y’all knew when I will be getting the Monday I need to pay my bills. Thank you in advance.

    1. Same here in Gainesville fl, NADA ZIP ZILCH ! I’ve already received my regular payment on the 14th hell they started paying out on the 8th so….i don’t know….I’m not even expecting it at this point

      1. I get $239.00 A week so I don’t know what the hold up is…. shoot like I said not even expecting it at this point.. focusing on trying to find a job. This is for the birds.

  32. Does anybody know why it’s going to take till October 31st to first start our LWA? I’m trying to raise my 3 boys on only $343 per week on regular unemployment and I must wait till the end of October before I get these benefits?? I think this is total ridiculous! We are hurting that’s all I have to say!!

  33. Hello I’m in delaware I was wondering when I should get my first payment of the $300 the chart says 09/15 but yet I haven’t gotten it yet any answer would be appreciated

  34. Hi Andy I live in New York I see the table chart you have made and I have not gotten my LWA deposit yet and nothing pending? Make 201 and was qualified. Do you have any updates for New York?

    1. The lwa payment will be viable in your account on Friday the 18th of September

  35. Does everyone in MS get their payments at the same time? Some got 3 retroactive payments while other received 5 payments.

    1. No everyone will not receive their payment at the same time. It depends on you and will you file or compete the question. Every state is different on how they receive their payment.

  36. I am from MD and we have received the FULL 1800. What I would like to know is, Do we receive the 300 dollars every week after that?

    1. Nope. 6 weeks is the max FEMA has in budget. Back to regular or PUA unemployment after that

    2. According to the website only a total of 6 retractive payments…so hopefully the government does something else.

      1. Wait so what your saying is there is no 300 a week? Hmmm I’am wondering. Then why would they say its through December?

        1. The program was authorized to run through December or until funds were depleted. The funds are gone.

        2. Oh ok thank you very much sweetheart idk where you are in the world but iys night here so gn and thank you for your help.

  37. I hope this helps someone. I’m in Missouri and my original unemployment claim wasn’t related to COVID. PEUC benefits kicked after my regular unemployment benefits ran out. I submitted a claim for it a few weeks prior to my regular benefits ran out and emailed them explaining the circumstances as well. The first few weeks when they started paying my husband the LWA, I didn’t receive it. I just received my approved weekly benefits. They sent me a correspondence and stated if I was still unemployed or partially unemployed now to due to COVID, to simply update my claim status by 9/8. It was located under claims and it was a simple one click certifying that my unemployment is due to COVID. I was able to due so because I was due to start a new job in April (originally laid off in March) and it’s been delayed twice. There’s a list of reasons they give on the unemployment website for how individuals are now affected that weren’t originally affected. I updated my claim status on 9/8 and received retroactive payments as followed: 9/9 $300, 9/10 600, 9/11 300 & /915 300. I hope this helps someone. If you missed your deadline to update your claim if your unemployment is now affected by COVID. File an appeal (faxing the appeal is better than making), include required identifying information and explain how your affected (review qualifying listed reasons under pandemic benefits). I would also send emails using the claimant form on the unemployment site, click other and type messages. I ALWAYS get things corrected this way or if they need to reach you they’ll call you. The phone lines have unsuccessful for me. I hope this information helps someone.

    1. california ,same here i was on ui moved to peuc also certied for lwa yesterday because i was to start training right before pandemic closers and kelp calling but to no aval .. still listed as selected no change but have been on the look out for work . so i do and so do you …but when do they start paying us?

  38. Please do anyone know why ODFJS site is showing up 403 forbidden error since Sunday, I’m getting more frustrated cause i couldn’t file my claim for this week yet

    1. The website does that sometimes call your claim in and mect wekk it should be fixed.

  39. I’m in Georgia I received 2 payments on Saturday 9/12 and nothing else yet .
Also check your UI portal mines showed a pinned message about LWA certification before funds can be released to you

    1. How long after you completed your LWA certification did it take for you to get a payment??

  40. I seen something say today the 15th was the last day to Certify for LWA for Ohio. Is there a link I can go to certify for LWA? If I was getting the $600 and now on EB do I even need to self certify?

    1. There’s still an option to update my claim status on mine (UPDATE COVID STATUS) underneath claims. The last day was supposedly 9/8 in Missouri. You can file an appeal if it won’t let you update it. Fax the appeal and include required information for appeal and send an email from the website using the claimant form.

  41. Ohio is paying $300 a day for the back pay of LWA. I just checked and they are processing another $300 tonight and I will receive it Thursday. Just wanted to let my fellow Ohio residents know…. FINALLY GETTING SOME HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

    1. Hey Tristan, I’m from Ohio as well and I can’t find where I self certify for LWA how will you be notified? I was getting $600 then had to be on extended benefits with over $100+ weekly. What should I do?

      Thanks for helping, god bless

  42. Michigan here wondering if they took taxes out of the $900 or just a lump payment of $900. Mine said issued but received 771.75

    1. Taxes will be taken out if you have your regular payments set to take the taxes out. I’m in Michigan and I’m still waiting. I wonder if EUC recipients are receiving theirs in the first waive and those of us on “regular” unemployment will be later as is happening in Ohio.

  43. what do they mean when yhey say funds come in two or three separate payments do they mean on the same day

    1. My retroactive payments in Missouri came on 9/9 300, 9/10 600, 9/11 300 & today 300.

  44. I live in Michigan certified yesterday, just getting my regular benefit, haven’t gotten a update yet, hopefully sometime this week

  45. It is really disappointing that Ohio was the first state to step up and agree to the lwa program, yet, we have still received nothing. They haven’t even bothered to put out any type of official update. No information to the thousands of people who are deciding if they can afford to eat this week. People are going to start panicking. I am one of those people. Our government is broken. It shouldn’t be about politics right now. People are suffering. Not just Republicans, not just Democrats. PEOPLE!! Why can’t we agree on helping the people? And would it kill you guys to update the unemployment website for the thousands of PEOPLE that are waiting, desperate for any information to be found? Or here’s a thought, Governor Dewine,
I challenge you to live on my single mother unemployment payment of $239 a week (pre-tax) and pay rent, utilities, and buy food for yourself and two teenagers.
I bet by the end of the week you would make things move a lot faster. I also bet that you would run to tell Congress to reinstate the $600 unemployment supplement because it is impossible to live. People are suffering while you sit in luxury.

    1. Jaime, Thank you for your remarks. Right on. This is what we really need to say to politicians of all types who live in their own world. We need to contact our reps and senators and let them know what is happening and how we feel. They only know to take recess and go to their homes at our expense. What exactly are we paying them to do?

  46. Hi Andy. I talked to a customer service agent in Ohio today. They’re paying the 6 weeks over the course of 6 days ( might be a little longer because of the weekend. ) This starts with the 1st week which ended 8/1 being paid tomorrow. I checked mine and I do indeed have a $300 deposit set for tomorrow. Good luck to my fellow Ohioans! Hint: scroll down to your 8/1 payday. It will show there not at the top of the columns.

    1. Jason, did you speak with someone from Ohio job and family services or pua? I am on regular unemployment and receive over the $100 marker. I don’t see anything about the $300 scheduled to deposit on my paystub history for the week of 8/1.

      1. Hey! Hope I am being of some help to at. Least someone. I spoke with an agent who was very knowledgeable. I’m on PUA. Earlier today I saw 8/1 set for direct deposit. I checked back later and 8/8 is set for deposit the following day 9/17. Go to payment history and scroll down to 8/1. It should have $300 posted and set for direct deposit. Hope this helps!

        1. I’m from Ohio I have no information on the BWC website about the LWA. After seeing all the Ohio post about receiving money I call Ohio JFS waited for over an hour on hold only to be told by there agent that she was unaware of any LWA payments going out that we have more information on the LWA reading information on websites like this one we are on than she has , so she was no help at all. So I still no no more now than I did on Monday when everyone started posting from Ohio that they were getting LWA back pay. I draw the max $480 per week and certify every Sunday I received my regular weekly payment but to date I have no information on how to receive or certify for the LWA.

    2. Were you on regular unemployment or on the expanded pandemic unemployment assistance program? I see the $300 scheduled for me tomorrow and I was on the expanded PUA program, but my husband is on regular unemployment and I don’t see the $300 going to him tomorrow

      1. I just looked at mine, as I am on regular unemployment in ohio and mine isn’t showing anything either. My husband also gets regular unemployment and his isn’t showing anything either.

      2. Was his claim originally due to COVID? Only people whom claims were originally due to COVID will receive the LWA. If not, look on the website for the qualifying reasons for PUA. If he can use any of those reasons update his claim status. If there was a deadline, file an appeal (fax it) and submit an email on there website (use the claims form..click other and type a message explaining circumstances).

      3. Anyone have any more answers? It’s now Wednesday afternoon and I have not seen anything on my unemployment claim or received a dime of the backpay yet?

    3. Hi Tracy, I’m hoping you have received the 1st 3 LWA payments by now. I am from Ky also and I received 3 payments. We were approved for 6 and says payment are being paid now as of September 15th but I still havent received the last 3 payments of LWA ..

  47. I was wondering if you get Pua will it automatically Be posted to your account since there is no certification for the LWA form On the Pua website also I’m living in PA..

    1. Yes you should get it and it should be back dated from the time you first filed. The money wont automatically be posted to your account it will come on the say you receive your money.

  48. Im in delaware it says they start paying sept 15th so i woke up today with nothing dies it mean im not getting it or will it deposit in the next few days or will i see ghe money on the following claim week? Has anyone in delaware receivex the extra 300 and the retro?

      1. Per the official, site Delaware should be issuing payments this week. But not seeing a lot of traction. So expect delays.

  49. I’m in Ohio, on regular unemployment. My friend who is on pua her website says the 300 will be deposited soon. On the regular unemployment website for me it doesn’t show anything about a 300$ payment. Does that mean I’m not getting it? My regular unemployment benefits is 250$ a week. So I meet the requirements. I’m confused and can’t get through to anyone at the unemployment office

    1. They are processing and paying in batches so some people are getting paid first. Will likely take most of this week to clear the backlog. Hang in there.

      1. Are the batches just the “weekly” $300 or the retroactive lump sum? My weekly self certification never asks about Covid however when I initially applied I did give them the specific Covid layoff number which I no longer even remember the details about- sad. I have one weekly benefit amount remaining, what happens after next week is dispersed? I’m scared to death to call in case something gets screwed up!

        1. Hey Kate! See Jason’s comment above. (That’s me) It looks like we’re finally getting there!

  50. I get $ 189 a week but child support leaves me with $96 a week so will I still get the $300?

    1. Yes…its based on the pre-tax, pre-deduction WBA amount. So you should the $300. Check with your state agency UI portal for confirmation of payment.

  51. Andy,
Can you answer this question for me please?
I have been waiting for my LWA since the 7th when California started paying out and I haven’t received any money yet. However! EDD sent me a Self Certification Form in my Inbox this morning for me to fill out. For me to fill out if my unemployment was due to the pandemic. I filled it out so does this mean that I will get the $300 now? If so, do you know when.
This question is for anyone that can possibly answer it for me.

    1. I had to update my status claim in order to get LWA. My original claim wasn’t due to COVID. They sent me a correspondence and said if I was now still unemployable due COVID I needed to update my claim by 9/8. I was able to update my claim online under claims (Update Claim) beneath weekly requests. it was as simple as checking the box certifying I am now affected by the pandemic. I updated on 9/7 and received 300 on 9/9, 600 on 9/10, 300 on 9/11 and 300 today. Hope this helps.

      1. Yes Niecey this helps me to understand a lot better. I just checked my inbox and I had a message stating that EDD has received my Self Certification Form yesterday. Do you live in California? I just wanted a little insight on approx.: how long I still have to wait. I don’t mean to be a bother but times are really hard right now.
        Have a bless day,

  52. Andy, Good morning and to all readers as well and hoping that all will get through this with your sanity intact. I have good news however for fellow Kentuckians!!! Started receiving payment this morning at 225 am. Hope this is at the very least a “small silver lining in the clouds” for those whove not yet gotten payments. Although ive only gotten payment for one week its a start in the right direction and couldnt have came at a better time, NOW!!! KEEP YOUR HEADS UP!!!!! I hope to read other Kentuckians have begun to see deposits along with more states beginning the payment process. Andy the information youve provided has been helpful even though dates have changed and changed again but to no fault of your doings. Hope this has been helpful and if youve not checked for a deposit into your acct. You may want to just in case. Thanks again and have a blessed day!

      1. Andy, I have asked twice about any updates on Colorado. They have change the date twice I am wondering if anybody has any information about any release dates of the $300 PUA payments.

        1. See more on the CO UI page I have for this. Week of Sep 20th is still estimated payment date. May come sooner – but you can now certify for LWA.

        2. Colorado’s first batch went out thursday 17th and second batch went out Friday 18th for more people. I got lump sum of $900 wich was $771 after taxes ob friday. Then says other 900$ to complete 1800$ will go out 25th hope thiss helpss goood luck.

    1. Yes I have recieved 1 payment also. Do we get the other payments I thought it was retro for 3.

    2. Did they cut taxes from your 400 and was this your week to get you regular unemployment

  53. I received 5 weeks of LWA, will I b receiving the sixth week and if so when will I b receiving it?

    1. Which state? The last payment may take some time as FEMA only released funding for the week of Sep 5, last week. So hang in there. You will get it if eligible for that week.

  54. I also live in KY. I received $400 around 11:30 pm Monday night.. Just waiting to get the other 5 payments..

    1. We are only getting payments. Look at unemploymentpua.org. I still havent received no extra no even my pay.

  55. Hi everyone I think this is so ridiculous how the government is issuing out this pandemic funds families are struggling losing their homes if u don’t meet the guidelines can’t feed their family and they got people checking the website and bank accounts like mice looking for cheese when all they have to do is hit the damn button smh then they want to dish it out in increments when the $600 was stopped now they slashed it in half $300 Lying to people saying this day and that day Why are they making it seem so difficult to pay hurting families reading some of this comments is so sad I really pray for our country as a whole

    1. It’s all political posturing. Trying to make it look like the other sides ideas of helping the citizens isn’t sufficient. Which it is not. I truly feel like the fed govt has told reporters not to question the efficiency or validity. If you watch any press conference with any gov. There’s no voluntary mention. Reporters question are obscure and hardly answered. Never more info offered by leadership. It’s clear we are their subjects.

  56. Just looked at payment history and there’s a 300$ payment with pay date of 9/16/20 for week of 7/26/20-8/1/20 we will see if it comes threw I thought it was going to be a lump sum Ohio is so screwed up

  57. In the state of Arizona, will there be a back pay of pua? Cause I didn’t receive pua payment for the week of September 13th,2020

    1. I didn’t recieve my pua benefit this week either, have you received it as of Friday? Just wondering why I didn’t get mine. Any info of others that didn’t get their reg unemployment ? Is it one or the other??

    1. Subequent weeks will come in batches (in line with FEMA approval of funds). Hang in there – but the goos news is KY is paying now.

  58. Im from ohio I just looked on my payment history back to Aug 1st and it says 300 paid 9/15

    1. Yes I was just getting ready to post the same thing ! Mine says it will be in my account on 9/16 and I also got my regular 189 this morning at 5 ami wonder where the other 1200 is and how long it’ll take to get

    2. Where are you going at to look? Like in your pay stubs history the one for 8/1 was updated to reflect a different amount that now includes the $300?

      1. Thanks for the Ohio updates. Glad to see processing started today. Payments may take a couple of days to hit your bank accounts/debit cards. I will update table.

  59. I’m in North Carolina and they just posted a $300 deposit on my homepage!!! I’m praying you all get yours as well!

  60. Hey, Ohioan here I wanted to ask, Has LWA certification been sent to any Ohioans yet? I was receiving the $600 then needed an extension of benefits and I get over $100 week. Just wondering if i messed up, or it hasn’t sent yet or didn’t qualify. Also Nothing stated on portal payments. Thanks a lot all of you be strong, god bless

    1. It should just update automatically if you’re eligible . There’s been no payments to any Ohio people yet however upon just checking my payment history the first installment of 300 says paid and will be in my account 9/16 tomorrow !

  61. I’m California and I certified on the 6 and received my regular pay on the 7th but I never and still haven’t received my $300 and or the back pay does anyone know what’s going on in California and why it’s taking so long?? I certify agian on the 20th

    1. Hello, im also in CA. One of my friends certified last week, got his first payment of $300 the following day of his payment around 8pm. I certified Sunday the 13th…. received my regular payment at 6am Monday morning …. here it is tuesday (I just answered my Lwa question today) so let’s see what happens. I have been checking to see if it says that the $300 is scheduled for payment, but I haven’t seen anything.

      1. Once you answer the question it takes about a day but maybe two. Also..its not business days it’s just days.

  62. I live in Ohio. My unemployment ended last week. Will I still get the $300? Thanks

    1. Starting to be paid from 9/16 in waves/batches for eligible weeks. Likely one week being paid at a time.

  63. I live in ohio and I just checked my account on ohio extended benefits for unemployment page and I am getting one week of the $300 on the 16th it says. So I guess they may be doing it one week at a time and going through everyone approved then going on to the next week. I will know more in the next couple days and will update everyone on what I found out on this page

    1. Thanks for the update Tristan. Updated table for Ohio to assume payment starts tomorrow.

  64. Update for Ohio!!! I do my weekly certification on Sundays and get paid on Tuesdays through direct deposit. As of Monday morning 9-14-20 it was just my regular weekly benefit of $171 after taxes. The UI system automatically shuts down for updates and maintenance nightly from 8pm to 10pm. I got on around 11pm on
9-14 just to check and I have one $300 payment showing for 8-01-20 being paid on
9-16. I have the slightest idea when the other 5 weeks will be paid but it appears they are starting to roll out those payments to everyone eligible. Stay safe everyone protect and love yourself and each other!!!

    1. I recieved the same message I got my 480$ plus on 9-16 it says I will get an additional payment of 300$. I was hoping for one lump sum but o well its better than nothing they are coming soon to everyone in OHIO….

    2. Thanks for the update. My daughter just looked and her’s says the same so we are assuming she will get the regular weekly on Wednesday also instead of Tuesday since hers is normally in by 2am Tuesday’s and it was not as of 3am.

  65. Illinois here I can see my deposit on PUA but it is my regular weekly payment I thought we were supposed to get our extra 300 this week

    1. Illinois is running a week behind. My wife got hers today, but she filed last week.

      1. I should note, she only got the initial 3 weeks. Im guessing she will get more each week for another 3 weeks.

      2. I show mine deposited this morning. I hear it’s random but I’m on regular unemployment and certified last Monday.

    2. I am in illinois and i receive PUA benefits of 198 a week but havent seen the retroactive pay of 300 or any of the 300 yet they first said sept 9th now 13th but nothing so what is happening???

    1. I live in ky too and have left 10 comments and nobody has replied. I guess we are to wait with our anxiety

      1. I am in KY and I recieved one payment of 400.00 around 10:50PM. Just wanted to let y’all know.

    2. I also live in KY. I received $400 around 11:30 pm Monday night.. Just waiting to get the other 5 payments..

  66. Hello I’m in Michigan and receive $900 for the first three weeks of August when will We receive the other three weeks of $300 in Michigan

  67. Will the back pay be on your debit card or in check form? I’m in Pennsylvania.

    1. I’m pretty sure PA us sticking to the Relia card, it’s the most efficient way to get these payments out anyway

  68. My name is Anthony I Am in PA. I have claimed and received UC all of those weeks but I am only partially unemployed, my weekly “benefit rate” is over $200 but during those 6 weeks my earnings caused me to only receive over $100 in UC for only week 2,4, and 5 the other weeks I received under $100. I certified for the LWA Am I eligible for the 3 or all 6? When will I get the payment?

  69. Any more concrete dates for SC? I check the website daily and there is no indication of change and no mention of the LWA anywhere other than when I do a search and they say it was approved and they are working with a vendor, it never had a line for the $600 payment either, but at least if you put it in the search que it shows up, the LWA does not which makes me believe they are not ready and September 20 may just be an estimate, you cannot reach them by phone

  70. I live in Memphis TN an it’s a lot of people who have received their $900 an getting their$300 weekly an I still haven’t got mines . I got a 5 day old baby an lights bout to get cut off because of this.Where do I track my payment at or just to see if I qualify?

  71. Are there any updates for the 900 retroactive unemployment benefit for massachusetts

  72. Just crazy how Ohio was the first to say we were going to do the payments then they drag their feet to pay it out they have already got 700 million to pay us so what’s taking so long , just annoys me and every other state would at least update their people telling them what’s going on Ohio no not us still same crap , like they don’t realize what it’s like to live on 189 a week if they did it would be fixed I’m sure !!! I just don’t understand the hold up or the not telling us anything just leaving us wondering , I speak for a lot of people when I say I would much rather be working then depending on my pos government to help cause this is trash !!!

    1. Hi Crystal I also live in Ohio and you definitely speak for me. you cannot find and recent news articles or any info letting us know what’s going on with the LWA. There were states that were approved after Ohio and has already exhausted there 6 wks worth of payments, it really makes you sick when you read these stories. Good luck and hanging there we will get it sometime soon I hope.

      1. Hi guys I’m from Ohio as well and what you said could have come out of my mouth Ohio is disgraceful and their lack of communication to let us know where things are I can’t find anything from the bigwigs at odjfs at first it said 9/13 then it said 9/21 it’s like they don’t realize they are playing with peoples lives here it’s the worst state in the union!

    2. Yes it is and they keep pushing the date. It went from the 13 to the 21. Why is that ?

    3. Im from ohio I just looked on my payment history back to Aug 1st and it says 300 paid 9/15

    4. I understand your frustration Pa. here Our officials aren’t doing much to ease the anxiety of the people. It really is a big issue for alot of people in different states. All I get when I search is the same article from the press releases last week stating that yes they have the funding and it goes on to say people will start seeing their payments as early as Monday the 14th ,however on our L&I page its had a completely different statement,.that people will receive their payment a week after they file their weekly or biweekly claims ? And when you find a article that mentions the LAW payment it directs you to our Government website/ UC link which only has the initial information and eligibility requirements no updates on payments Oh they did however update the page a few days ago to let us know that after the 5th of Sept there would be no more payments .they made sure they made that update but can’t update any other information, the little information I have comes from outside sources which is unacceptable. I understand we are in trying times and they are overwhelmed, hire more people if need be there are plenty of people who need a job right now.I look at it this way, the government is responsible for most of us being home due to their mandates and forced closures ,they owe it to the people to keep us informed on s timely basis as to when we can expect to be paid estimated times does not provide groceries or let me know when I can get some groceries.

  73. Ohio never gives any updates it’s ridiculous we need that money and they are taking their time if they had to live on 189 a week I bet this would be already done

  74. Received wv regular benefits wheres the extra ir when it says sept 13th

    1. In WV-I just got my regular benefit but no extra $400. I think the way I’m thinking that it applies to this week. Meaning when you do your weekly claim for this week on Sunday it may be on next one…? The information isn’t quite clear on that.

  75. Andy,
I am from Utah and they’ve began making payments for the LWA to individuals who qaulify. I have yet to get mine do to the computer systems not catching that I was unemployed as a direct result due to Covid. Thankfully after speaking with a claim rep that has been fixed do I should recieve the $900 back pay for 8/1, 8/9, 8/15 within 2 days. My question is if you might know if Utah going to receive any additional weeks. I have seen so many different answers on internet from different news cycles and my rep said to her knowledge was only receiving 3 weeks of payments. Just curious as to why some states like Texas have received or receiving all 6 weeks and other states only supposedly receiving the first origanal 3 weeks. I seen a chart that stated Utah paid 3 weeks, Unpaid 3 weeks yet a red “N” next to that which meant funding depleted. Don’t remember which site I seen that on though. Any and all info you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

    1. So states have to apply for every week after the initial 3 week grant. FEMA has confirmed they have allocated 3 extra weeks (for a total) to every state at this stage. The additional 3 weeks may take some time to process, but you should get them paid before month end. See this article (official source from UT gov agency) – https://jobs.utah.gov/covid19/lostwagefaq.pdf

    2. Hi Shaun! Jason here from Ohio. You live in a beautiful state btw. I read directly on the FEMA website that all states including Utah were getting 6 weeks back pay. Have a great day!

  76. Has anyone got any updates for Ohio?
For the past few weeks…LWA Tracker indicated payments beginning 9/13.
    It now says 9/21?
    In desperate need!

    1. Phi – Sadly a vacuum of information from OH. Since no one from OH has confirmed payment recieved I moved it out and honestly I am hearing end of September in some chat rooms. Hopefully once the LWA certification step pops in your UI portal that will mean payment is imminent.

      1. Check your unemployment account. Mine just updated and states there is a payment of $300 for Aug.1st with a pay date of 9/16

    2. Hi Phi! I’m in OH too. Isn’t Ohio a disgrace? They have the 700 million for us but what the hell are they doing? The official day now is 9/21. I hope they actually start earlier. Wishful thinking I know. At least we’re getting 6 weeks back pay not 3! Per the FEMA website all states are now getting 6 weeks not 3. Have a great day!

  77. Does anyone have information on Delawares LWA ? Anything will help , thank you !

    1. The Delaware DOL has confirmed payments started from this week, so expect them to start hitting back accounts from Sep 15th onwards for eligible claimants.

The Delaware Department of Labor expects to begin issuing LWA payments to eligible claimants beginning the week of September 14, 2020, on a first-come, first-served basis. The LWA payments will be retroactive to the week ending on August 1, 2020.Benefits will be automatically calculated and distributed based on unemployment claims received; individuals do not need to call or apply separately for this.
      Source : https://news.delaware.gov/2020/09/08/dol-lost-wages-funding/

      1. Any new news on delawares lwa? Still have not received anything only my normal unemployment

        1. This is still the official line – The Delaware Department of Labor expects to begin issuing LWA payments to eligible claimants beginning the week of September 14, 2020, on a first-come, first-served basis. The LWA payments will be retroactive to the week ending on August 1, 2020.Benefits will be automatically calculated and distributed based on unemployment claims received; individuals do not need to call or apply separately for this..

You may get paid next week if nothing comes by the end of this week. But should be sooner rather than later.

      2. So I received my first payment of $300 on Friday 09/18 at around 5:40pm and now on Monday 09/21 I haven’t received another payment yet and it’s 8:11pm anyone have any idea what’s going on now I’m in delaware

        1. I have only received a 1 week LWA payment & that was Friday 9/18, also.

        2. I really think that they are giving the payments on the same day every week i got one payment on Friday also so check Friday to see if they deposit another that’s what I am doing

        3. My husband just received another deposit today for 2 more weeks so that’s 3 weeks total so far..

        4. So far I’ve received 3 weeks lwa in delaware. I am on regular unemployment not lwa

    1. I’m in pa too and really wish we knew what was going on?? We all need this!!

  78. Ny started payment today and I looked on my payment history it didn’t post any funds does it just post to your account but it does say 0 for pua when it said 4 effective days does that mean that i got my lwa

  79. I’m from Arkansas and received lwa payment of 300 today, I thought it was retroactive from the August 1st? I see some people say it will be staggered payments? Does anybody know when the reminder will come? And did it go from 3 weeks to 6 weeks of guaranteed retroactive payments?

  80. I’m in GA and didn’t receive any deposits today. Usual UI deposits on Wed but thought I’d have some of the back pay everyone’s talking about today ….? My UI Portal doesn’t say anything about pending deposits like some others have said … I’m very confused and concerned.

    1. In GA also..my UI says it should deposit today but I have nothing pending in my checking account…maybe it will take a few days?

      1. Georgia- Mine was saying paid on Sept 11th, however with it being the wknd I figured the $$ for sure would post on Mon the 14th, I was disappointed when I didn’t see the $$ Mon morning, HOWEVER around 10:30am Mon I received an email saying a deposit had been made for $900, make sure Tuesday to check your card a few times, you’ll be surprised at the times it will show up on your card!

  81. I received my 2 weeks that I certified for Meaning today is the 14th why didn’t I get my lost wages assisted money with my regular weekly benefit amount Is the money already gone anybody know anything for California?

  82. I received my 2 weeks that I certified for Meaning today is the 14th why didn’t I get my lost wages assisted money with my regular weekly benefit amount Is the money already gone anybody know anything for California?

    1. From what I’ve been seeing on social media sites (following threads and such), some states (I live in Illinois) are releasing these funds based on SSN. I’ve found NOTHING officially online to confirm this, but that’s what I’m seeing on social media threads on this topic. Maybe reach out to any other folks you know and find out if they’ve received theirs. Compare the first 3 of your SSN’s.

      1. Illinois here: I received my 900.00 (3 weeks) minus taxes last week. It wasn’t on my normal day of weekly benefits. So today is my normal deposit and it is only my regular unemployment benefits. I was really expecting the other 3 weeks to be included in this payment. How disappointing. I see now by reading and reading up on this that each state will have to apply weekly for the additional 3 weeks. So if it gets approved I’m assuming we’ll see 300.00 deposited each week they are approved for. So back to checking our accounts everyday to see if we can pay the car payment or the electric bill. This is an insane. After the initial statement that we will receive 400.00 additional each week until the end of the year, this is very disappointing. People actually thought they could make the bills, now we’re back to hoping for an additional measly 300.00 for the additional 3 weeks of the supplement here and there, that probably won’t come in the end.
My last name begins with B, if that helps with figuring out when your initial 900.00 will come.
